Yes, I did solo them. They were lvl 81, I'm lvl 80. Just told my pet to attack one, then tell him to follow you, and it will bring one of them to you. You kill it and repeat.

level 105 for me. Im level 80.
Two hit incapped everytime.

I am having trouble with the rancor part of these quests... I grouped with someone yesterday andwe killed an enranged rancor together, but I got no quest update. Then I tried to solo another enraged rancor he got me in the end. Am I just supposed to kill a regular rancor, or does it matter? By the way I'm level 80, is there any type of rancor that I can solo and still count for the quest? Because with the other animals I could kill the babies and they still counted for me.

you cant kill ENRAGED rancors. Just rancors.

Don't bother. The reward is an embarassingly crap ranged arm.
