Hi, I just got a second account and it keeps giving me "Another Instance of this Program is Running, shutting down". How do I login both characters?

In Win XP you can run the program as a different user. This can cause problems sometimes with performance, but you can do it.

create a file called user.cfg and put this in the body of the file;
[SwgClient]
allowMultipleInstances=TRUE
allowMultipleInstances=TRUE
put this in the main swg folder

Right, extreme noob-computer-user question here but how do I create a file ![]()
I know I'm gonna feel really stupid when someone tells me

Go into notepad, and put that in it. Go under file, and click Save As, and name it "user.cfg" (with the quotes) and put it in your StarWarsGalaxies folder.

you dont need to edit anything at all.
1: Create a second User account on your computer.
2: Click Start>Log off> Switch User
3. Log in with other account.
4: launch game as normal and play with other account.
I do this with my second character which is a Dancer all the time. She stays in cantina, coronet usually with a simple macro running, while I am playing with my main account with the other log in.
I have an Athlon 2000xp with 1gb Ram and a radeon 9800pro. I have no issues with performance.
