I was wondering where to go buy things after CU. I have been searching for a week over 12 hours in

game for armor, weapons and ships. No one is building any after CU items. Very few people are resetting

their vendors. How are we supposed to play with armor and weapons? I can't kill anything anymore. I attack

and the whole nest gangs up on me and I am incapped, then they go back into a huddle around the nest. There is no separation of anything, npcs or mobs. I can't get any experience on my secondary combat skills, because I can't damage anything that gets me experience. Very few people will play in groups and I would

prefer to not play in a group, but SOE dictates otherwise.

Just give me some good weapons and armor, then let me see if I can play. Right now everyone of my toons

are weak, except TKM and MS. He gets torn up by ranged shooters.

The weapon stuff I have figured out (for the moment) there is a list under Knowledge Base Article 15691. Armor, though, I am completely lost. The armor itself doesn't say what level you have to be to wear it, what "class" of armor is for what or who or whatever. These things really should be in game, right in front of the player, not burried on the message boards.

One of the goals of the CU was to make it more accessable to people. Not knowing what you can shoot with or how to protect yourself is a very large area to be lacking in.

Anyone have armor info help?

Armor now requires the mitigation abilities that are granted with certain professions, if you dont know which professions can wear which armor, look at your skill boxes, if it is a combat related profession, it will show (XXXXX mitigation +40%) whereXXXXX is the type of armor you can wear.

Here is a list for you also, that I got off the AS forum...

Assault

Professions: Bounty Hunter, Commando, Squad Leader

Bonus: +1000 Kinetic

Penalty: -1000 Energy

Appearances: Chitin, Composite, Ithorian Sentinel, Kashyyykian Hunting, Factional

Battle

Professions: Carbineer, Combat Medic, Creature Handler, Doctor, Fencer, Pikeman, Ranger, Swordsman

No Bonus or Penalty

Appearances: Bone, Marauder, Padded, Ithorian Defender, Kashyyykian Black Mountain, R.I.S. (quest),and Factional

Reconaissance
Professions: BioEngineer*, Pistoleer, Rifleman, Smuggler

Bonus: +1000 Energy

Penalty: -1000 Kinetic

Appearances: Mabari, Tantel, Ubese, Ithorian Guardian, Kashyyykian Ceremonial, and Factional

* BioEngineers only receive hindrance mitigations equal to "basic" core armor.

Also you can retype your old armor ONCE, I had a bag off Comp and Ubese, I just retyped it over to whatever kind I needed. You do this by picking the item up and from your inventory, use the radial on the item, wait a bit, and a retype command will show up.
