I have no answer, but your question came up in a search I was doing on behalf of a guild mate with the same problem. Oddly, she seems to have the problem on two different computers and three different accounts.
We've been through the entire ctrl-O interface, but we haven't found out why the distances and arrows to group members don't show up on her screen. It seems that the group HAM bars are just cut off too early, and there doesn't seem to be a way to resize them.
Anyone?
Think it has something to do with how you had adjusted the size of the group box before the CU.
I had the issue on one of my alts and I know for a fact I had reduced the boxes quite a lot pre-CU. I tried deleting my profile folder and then logging back in to re-create it, fixed the problem for me. However you will lose all your macros and toolbar settings...

I never resized my group boxes before the CU.
They have been the same since launch.

As it turned out, she had never resized, but the fix still worked for her! Again, thanks for the suggestion.
For myself, I'm constantly resizing and moving things, but I didn't have the problem. I don't know why it gets corrupted on some systems and not on others, but the important thing is that it was fixed.
A suggestion for others who want to try this--back up the macro file and the notes file from your profilesbefore deleting. The macros and notes files can be returned to the folders once the game has recreated them, and you'll still have them. You still lose your toolbar setup, and the keymap will default back to MMORPG modeless. If you've been playing a while, you might find you can't move, and will need to change it back to Star Wars Galaxies (not modeless) on the Control-O>Controls>keymap menu.
