Once I retire (starting October 2nd

Your character will be safe for 6 months. At least from what I've heard.

I quit playing last October and started again 4 days ago. My account was completely intact. I think the 3-6 month account deletion thing is just a scare tactic used tokeep people from quitting. I'll be if I started playing Tanarus again (another SOE game) my account would still be there....and it's been 2 1/2 years.

I also just reactivated my account after a year of being gone, and everything was just as I had left it.

At the moment its ok. But they are bringing in char deletion. SO if you had left your account another month it might have gone. Up until now I dont think they deleted anyone.
