Kind of a noob questions I know, but I'm more less wonder just what does it take to become one? what tapes do I look for.... one can assume any ** VS. ** tape will work... but I could be wrong...

anyone willing to offer some tips or info?

technically a defense stacker has nothing to do with tapes, it is an individual who takes nothing but melee skills, i.e. master brawler, master tka, master swordsman, master fencer (i prefer swords, brawler, tka and dabble in fencer), polearm is also preferred due to the dot weapons (for pvp) [shivers at thought of deadly mind fire]

The result is an individual who has insanley high defenses in melee, with the right weapons you can be formidable to all but high level jedi.

short version....

You can build your skills template around the various defenses that each comabt profession has. This means that you can be very hard to attack since the different defenses repel whatever is being done to you.

For example, you could become part tka, part fencer, part pistoleer....all of which have great defensive skills.

Some combat types think this is lame, since they can't use their super strength weapons to quickly dispatch you.

Of course....the opposite of a defense stacker is an offense stacker....which no one seems to complain about.

I have found that people most often complain when someone has learned how to defeat their best attempt at being the best. My answer to them is....oh well.
