Your modified DPS that you see on the weapon your using is just a number; a number that should be used as a refrence only. The more weapon speed you have from skills, or tapes will increase your Modified DPS. Your template in your current sig (Mcommando MMarks BH0004 S0004 Br4000) gives you +50 general ranged speed and +150 ranged acc. Using a heavy weapon you get 95 speed and 205 acc. To improve you template you drop Mmarks for some skills that contain high damaging speacials like Head shot, Snipershot (rifles) critical (BH) Leg (Carb) Body (Pistols). If you want to keep MCommando (for pure damage output), a template I would suggest is MCommando, MBH, Rifles 4000 You get:
General Ranged Accuracy +195
General Ranged Speed +60
Heavy Weapon Accuracy +55
Heavy Weapon Defense +50
Heavy Weapon Speed +45
Melee Defense +185
Ranged Defense +175
Rifle Accuracy +85
Rifle Defense +20
Rifle Speed +30
Once Commandos splash damage gets fixed you can do high powered shots like snipershot with a Plasma FT increasing your DPS by a huge margin.
