I've seen some Imperial wearing Rebel marine backpacks, how is this possible and how can it be done! I joined the rebel alliance to get one and then left and an hour later the back pack disappeared! pooooof......... Is there a way to make it stay?
thanks so much!!

It is no longer possible.
Faction items in your backpack where not deleted before so someone who left the rebellion or the empire wearing those items would keep them on if they did not remove them.
This is why they made it so that faction items are now deleted when you leave a faction.
My guess is if there's is still example a Rebel out there with full Storm Trooper Armor it's bacause he did it before the deleting all faction item when leaving a faction patch.

There are pre-nerf marine backpacks that you can equip while covert, and I *assume* even a non-Rebel could do so.
That would explain why these PRE NERF (I emphasize this because it's important, you'll just look like an idiot if you try to sell your freshly requisitioned backpack) backpacks are selling for over a million in some cases.

Hmm. Interesting. You only log in a couple of times in the last two months and look what changes on you.
When was this patch that made faction items go poof? I got my marine backpack back before the Imp Crackdown, but stopped wearing it (covert) because I was afraid of getting caught.
I did the Imp themepark missions with my Imp char and gave the Tie Fighter suit and helm to my Rebel char to display in her house... which is where it has been sitting for months. What's gonna happen to that stuff?

It doesn't get deleted, switched from Reb to imp couple days ago still have my marine armor, and all the faction items from the rebel themepark

You keep all faction items droped in your house (not sure about bank) but everything in your backpack or equiped is deleted. That's at the moment you leave the faction. Your items will not get deleted if you pick them up from your house to replace them somewhere else

My guess is it's for faction perks only and not theme park loot.
