Thread: bought an item from a vendor but the item does not exist...bug or ripped off????

Dont know which forum to post this. I bought a powerhammer from a vendor for 100000. After buying it and looking in my inventory i could not see it anywhere. In my messages i had a message saying "this item cannot be retrieved because it no longer exists" . So have i just wasted about a weeks worth of savings due to a bug or due to some vendor ripping me off. Losing all this money has really really annoyed me.

I was running around kashyyk when I gave a friend some PuPs. When he tried to take one out it gave a similar message and deleted it from his inventory. I dont know if that helps, but it seems like either a bug, or SOE decided to change some weapons and stuff stats making certain ones invalid.

ive submitted a ticket (but did not get a ticket number which was odd), i hope i can at least get my money back.

I don't know if you were ripped off, the onlything that I can think of is the item fell off the vendor just as soon as you bought it. Either the auction expired or the item was being pulled off remotly by the seller (which is a somewhat common thing). Unless he has incredible timing, and had his vendor window open waiting for this.
I would just advise not bugging this, but submitting a full customer service ticket, explain the situation and they should have no problems getting the item for you.

I had an issue with this type of thing. I had logged off for a little bit and when I loged back in what I purchased was in my inventory. Sometimes the DB goes wacky. Just make sure you have a few spaces open when you log out.
