Thread: So I started the Hero quest.....

Well, I didn't "listen" to all of the advice the hermit wanted to give me. Should I have?
Also, I couldn't find the farmer. That was yesterday...do I just continue searching? Or do I need to reactivate it? Thanks fior the help

Search the forums for Hero quest guides.
Some of the NPCs are hard to find, some have to spend days looking for them. I have never hade problem find them ( done quest 3 times). You could always ask an Ranger to help you.

Did that...in fact I have it up top. The reason why I ask is I don't want to waste alot of time if I had done something wrong to begin with....... Thanks for the support...I hope just to do it once lol..... What did you find hte hardest to find mainly? Thanks again

Hardest to find for me has always been the wild board, have never hade any problems at all finding what most people seen never to find, the pirate leader.

yeah boar was the hardest for me
the farmer basically came to me when i wasnt even looking for him yet
then the smuggler was the easiest
and pirate leader took awhile too but not as long as it did for the boar because i did it right after server restart

You've not done anything wrong, the Hero Quest is one the most "robust" (e.g., hardest to screw up) in the game. If you want guidance then check the forums or go to Allakhazam.com where you can find a complete guide to most of the quest and missions in the game. A few simple pointers though:
- There are four parts,
The Moisture Farmer (1)
The Boar
The Pirate Leader
The Bounty Hunter
(1) if there is a part than can be screwed up it is the Pirate Leader. I have seen him be unresponsive to people that have used melee attacks against him. The surest way of getting him to talk is to first kill the pirates that are with him and then kite him with a ranged weapon. When his HAM drops below 50% STOP shooting/hitting him and PEACE to avoid accidentally killing him. At this point he will Con. white and will talk to you.
- You do not have to revisit the hermit between parts of the quests, only at the end of the four to finish up and the the Ring
- You may do the missions in any order
- If you do screw one up, just do it again. Nothing to reset, restart, or wait for.
- Rangers can Track all of the NPC and creatures in the quest for you if need help finding them.

So these items are on a constant spawn until people are no longer doing these? And thanks again for the encouragement as well as info
