or if u have a high level privatter friend you can have him make you a chip, I recomend level 3 on all the overloads, they do minimal damage to your stuff, but do not cause decay like there bigger brothers.

also you can usually find unprogrammed chips in bazzar, or one already programmed for you, all u gotta do is pick it up and insert it in your droid, make sure you dont go over your droids capacity or you will end up destroying the chip. oh if unprogrammed , have your priv buddy program it for you.

Play or quit..... there is no whine.

Make sure you load Weapon Overload 3 before anything else. If you aren't using the best flight comp right now make sure u pick one up asap.

U can fine droid programming chips that are loaded with Imperial/Rebel/Freelancer programs under:

MISC>Droid Programming Chips

The local bazaars for the major cities should give you plenty of choices.

You can load these programs into your flight comp no matter what faction u are.
You don't need these chips for programs you get from the astromech skills.

Cap overload 3 is the best as it does not cause decay.

You left out "lvl 2223 freelance pilot". Unless I'm misremembering the pilot skill trees, the cap overload programs aren't given to rebel or imperial pilots.

Pilots can burn any programs they know onto a chip, and those chips can be traded to any pilot, regardless of faction. Insert the chip into a droid or flight computer (Y-wings take droids, IIRC), and you'll have it available in your "astromech" tab of your command window.

More, Cap Overload 3 WILL cause decay if you don't fix the damage before you use it again. Still, so long as you do that, you're fine. You might think about picking up some of the other programs too, depending on where you're having trouble with. Cap to Shield Shunt can be very useful, for instance ... it beats EShields in that you're still combat-capable (and able to still use the other specials if you need to).

Look on the bazaar (vendor locations) for a vendor selling the ready chip you desire. Yes, it will work on the Y-wing.

As long as it is stored in your droid you can use it.
