Is there anything that a Sullustan can't wear or equip?

They can. I had a Sullustan pilot in Beta who wore a swoop helm (but they look goofy on most sullustans IMO).

As far as I saw, they can equip anything a human of their gender could. The Imperial Hat is a notable exception of course.

in beta my sullustan could not wear a TIE pilot helm given as a reward by the pilot trainer

I think only Humans and Zabrak can wear the TIE helmet, too. Same with the Tusken helmet.

Can't wear the tantel helmet either.

Ohh and Wookiee and Ithorian armor/clothing!

They can equip a regular swoop helmet, but not the Pod Racer helmet given as a quest reward on Tatooine. Weird.

And yah, the swoop helmet makes their head look even larger, so it's goofy, but better than those huge ears. lol
