Thread: Zooming the overhead map?

Is there a way to zoom the overhead map in and out, without having a mouse wheel? It's hard to see vendor names when there's 11 vendors crammed into one building

I would like to know the answer to this too. My mouse wheel does not work in-game and SWG can't figure out why. Works everywhere else, even works when I ALT-TAB out to something else WHILE the game is running but not in-game. Very frustrating.

Unfortunately, there's no way to scroll the map without awheel mouse since theres no key mapping for it. I just ended up buying one since they aren't that expensive anyways. If you have trouble getting the scroll to work, download and install the latest drivers. Then go to the device manager and remove the mouse from your system and reboot. That should get it working in swg.

I was afraid of that, I'd hate to trade mine in for another one already. Haven't had it but a few months, nice little trackball with buttons and programmable... although I think they make the same type with a wheel on the side near the index finger area, with all the same functions. I think Logitech makes it, hmmmm I'll have to go back by the store and check into that. The non-zoomable overhead map really is a big problem in poorer thought out areas where vendores are literally one bug blur of white lettering on the overhead.

I also have a mouse, with a mouse wheel, and it won't work for anything in SWG. Works for everything else, and if I ALT+TAB out of the game to a web browser or such, the mouse wheel works fine... it just wont work in game, dunno why, can't fix it either
