hey guys

im thinknign about gettign an alt.. btu im wondering do i need to go to the store and buy ANOTHER copy of the game? some have said that i need to do so... but cant i simply make a new account from my existing game?

gotta buy a new copy and pay another $15 a month, although swg only costs $30 american and canadian, heck i got teh special edition for $40 canadian

If you want your alt. o nthe same server you've got to buy a new copy of the game....

However what I do is run an alt. on another server with the same game, it means you can't trade items between your characters, but it is a way of experiancincing another profession.

For example my main is a fighter on the Ahazi server, my alt is a crafter on Bria server.

I think you are allowed a total of 8 characters spread over the different servers.

You need an Account Code (or something like that) and as of right now that onlly comes on the back of the Game Package. Also if you want both accounts to have JTL you will need to buy 2 copies of that as well. Lastly, You can get a second free toon on the same server and account buy grinding your "main" upto Padawan (even if you don't go any farther). (after Pub 10 that is)

i wanted an alt on my same server. i got my main and my jedi... but i wanted to make another.. a BH to start hunting all the new jedi's ehehe or i dunno do something. i dont wanna spend more time on another server... so if i have to buy a new game althogether.. screw this. i'll pay when they start fixing some of the major issues

There is another option to save you the $19.99 to $29.99 of buying a new box.

Take over the billing of a cancelled account. If you are in a pa or have a bunch of friends, chances are someone has quit the game. Get ahold of them, and change the billing to your credit card, and you have their account.

This is what I have done to avoid buying another box.
