But seriously. These are objects are increase your HAM depending on your current one. They cost about 500k each and last about 2 days. Best one I've seen is 1 mill for 3 and a half days. Hope this helps.

Way back around november / december last year the Devs said that in order to unlock your Force Sensitive character was to locate holocrons (blue or red ones).

Now when you use a holocron (holos) it will reveal to you which profession you have to master in order to get your FS character. Back then, there were 4 known professions and 1 unknown, meaning that you will need to use (a maximum) 4 holocrons (master 4 professions) before they go silent on you.

When the holocrons go silent, you must find what is your silent profession by grinding out the remaining professions to unlock.

Thus the term - holo-grind was coined. Of course now that has all changed with the new Force Sensitive Quests and the Village.

And of course the devs silently increased the hidden number of professions from 1 to 8. Bastages.

Umm... i dont think you have it there... when people refer to holos they are talking about "holocrons" these items used to give people clues into what professions they have to master to become jedi... this was pre publish 9

Hologrinding is grinding out random professions in hopes of unlocking their jedi character slot.

Holos will now no longer tell you what professions to master because the entire system has changed... you will also no longer see people grinding out random professions either, at least not to become jedi.

Prior to Publish 9 a holocron, a little blue (Jedi) or red (Sith) cube, would tell you a profession you needed to master on your path to obtaining a force sensitive character slot. Hologrinding was the act of working your waythrough mastery of professions that you really didn't want to play in order to open your force sensitive slot. WhenPublish 9 was released holocrons would no longer tell you a profession to master. With the release of Publish 10 there is no more holocron system, as it was replaced by the whole Village of Aurillia quest-based system for becoming a Jedi. The hologrind of mastering professions was replaced by the FS experience grind to gain enough exp to fill 6 lines of FS skills.
