In a monumental victory, a young unknown boy from Tatooine, Luke Skywalker, used the Force to destroy an Imperial Galactic Terror Weapon…The Death Star!Much to the surprise of our small group of Rebels that planned this strike, there has been a massive outpouring of support for our cause, a return to the Galactic Republic of Old.Supporters have been coming out of every part of the galaxy.Darth Vader and the Emperor himself have gone into hiding…fearing for their life!One of the most amazing occurrences related to this action has been the reawakening of the force throughout the galaxy!The Jedi, who were all but wiped out in the galaxy by the Empire have returned!They have joined our rebellion and are fighting alongside us to help return to galactic peace!Imperial Stormtroopers are continuing their patrols, but they seem to have lost faith in their cause.Look at Kadaara on Naboo, over Rebel supporters walking around the streets, and the Imperial troops do nothing!
In another suprising turn of events, it has recently been discovered by our tacticians that ancient melee weapons are quite effective against imperial troops.We encourage all of our supporters to study the arts of Terras Kasi, the use of Power Hammers and, surprisingly enough, stun batons that were originally designed for crowd control!

Press Release from Emperor Palpatinevia Imperial Galactic Relations - Coruscant
My fellow citizens, recently a small band of insurgents have attacked a space station recently constructed by the Imperial Navy.In this act of terrorism, they have made the claim that this station was used to destroy Alderaan, these claims are totally unfounded.Yes this station was in the Alderaan system resupplying before moving on to the Yavin system for training maneuvers.This was not a battle station, not the “death star” as they are calling it.This was a base to be used in humanitarian missions.
Darth Vader and myself, along with many top Moffs and Generals, have moved to an undisclosed location to formulate a plan to deal with this insurgency.We are scouring all available intelligence on this group and are formulating a plan to deal with them.In the mean time, galactic life should continue as normal.The Imperial presence has been increased in some areas, but overall little has changed.We regret the massive lost of life caused by this group in their “righteous cause” and reparations are being prepared for families who lost a loved one in this cowardly attack.We have taken this mode of action to figure out how to deal with the ancient weapons the rebels have been employing lately, these weapons are quite effective against both our armor and blasters.No one in the Imperial Armed Services, at any level, could have foreseen that a large hammer or a poison laced pole arm could have been so effective against our troops.Fear not citizens, we will counter this threat, just like we did with the bio warfare a few months ago!
An unfortunate side action of this attack seems to be a reawakening of the force, and with it the pompous, elitist Jedi!I find this most disturbing; we had almost completely removed this threat to galactic peace.But now they are back, spreading propaganda and their “lightside” ways, fostering unhappiness and dissatisfaction with their lies!While Lord Vader and I formulate our plan to return peace and order to the galaxy, I have enlisted the help of both bounty hunters and non-Jedi force adepts to help control the population of these arrogant supporters of evil.They are strong, and good fighters, but the might of the Emporium will crush them, just as we did before.
Do not listen to these insurgents, they spread lies, and want to throw the galaxy into turmoil, so the Jedi can once again rule over a galaxy filled with local squabbles and infighting.

there were literaly thousands of jedi from all races spread out all over the galaxy.it is possible that when the emporer turned against them(you'll find out why in ep3) some of the lesser known Jedi went into hiding just as yoda and ben did.

That is why I said that the force was woken by luke using it. It is now stirring in universe again, and new jedi (light and dark) are now growing with it. Palpy is now forced to recruit dark jedi to fight the emerging jedi, his forces are demoralized by the loss of the deathstar and large defection to the rebellion. He doesn't have the shear numbers to wipe them out like he diddurring the clone wars. Of course he isn't going to call them dark jedi in press release, you want to keep up the facade that you are the good guys.
But in all reality my post was just supposed to be some fun based on where the swg timline has gone. The overpopulation of rebels, the melee winning all, all the jedi, ect. ect. ect.
