Pardon me for sounding noobish but the old man will be visiting me in a day or so and I'd like to be prepared.

If all skill trees have to be completed for the exit quest does that mean we will HAVE to do all the crafting and crap to complete?

Like a guy said earlier he was having a problem with the scouting type tree because he doesnt have any scout skills, will I have to drop current skills to get the necessary skills for the branches i.e. Artisian and stuff?

Thanks in advance for the help...guess i have a lot of reading to do.

OK, I got 4 free boxes which is 16 points, I have 8 left to get before I can start as an Initiate, my question is do they have to all be in the same branch? I trained in Enhanced Reflexes (Melee and Ranged Defense) and Combat Prowess (Melee Speed and Accuracy). I can either get Ranged Speed and Ranged Accuracy which are useless as a jedi, or Vehicle Control and Survival.

I'm wondering if I can get Ranged Speed 1 & 2, Ranged Accuracy 1 & 2, Vehicle Control 1 & 2, and Survival 1 & 2. That will equal my 8 points left without having to get the extra 1.6 mil of FS xp for Vehicle Control 3 & 4 and Survival 3 & 4.

Already tried the Jedi forum but no one is answering

Hope this makes sense

You need all 4 boxes in a branch - 1,2,3 and 4.

I think he means he got 4 free BRANCHES. And wants to know if they all have to be in the same category. It is my understanding..No.

You can have 6 branches (24 boxes of any skill) in any FS category.

I'm in the same boat as him, and hope this is right.

I'm just concerned about my 8 remaining points, instead of getting 1,2,3,4 in 2 seperate branches, i'm wondering if I can get 1,2 in 4 seperate branches.

MenaBen-Hez, can you tell me where you got this info? I thought I read everything about this change and I don't remember it saying the points have to be in the same branch

Six full branches is needed, else it would be pretty easy to fill a few of them with only two boxes The exp requirement doesn't get steap till the third box.

Where is this info from? I agree it would be pretty easy to fill up the bottom boxes only, that's why this came to mind, but where does it say you need 6 4th level boxes. I remember reading that you have 24 points to spend any way you want

You have to complete 6 complete branches, it does matter if they are in the same tree or not. But it is confirmed it is by branches and not boxes.

There are four "trees" in the FS skills set. these "trees" are: Combat Prowess, Crafting Mastery, Enhanced Reflexes, and Hightened senses.

Each of these "trees" are broken up into four "branches". Each "branch" is made up of four skill boxes. You need a minimum of Six full "branches" to move on to your jedi skills. It doesn't matter from what "trees" you take your six "branches". If you are a combat based template, you can do all four "branches" in Combat Prowess, and two in Enhanced Reflexes. Or if you wanted you can do two branches in Crafting Mastery, two branches in Hightened Senses, one in Combat prowess, and one in Enhanced Reflexes.

To make it much more clear go here:
http://www.bloodfin.org/modules/mydownloads/
and download the profession calculator. It includes all the FS boxes and Jedi skill boxes and makes it very clear what all the skills that are available to you actually do.
