During one of the Imperial Retreat missions, I have to bring in a Slicer for questioning and such but I can't do it. The Slicerautomatically attacks me when I get close and therefore I can not converse with him.
Any reasons why?

If he automatically attacks, attack him back, loot him, and talk to the person who gave the mission. Maybe you will be given the mission again or it will be mission complete.

Your thug faction is too high you need to either lower it or peace with him and spam conv as you run from him which is what i did... the 2nd combat broke he talked to me grouped and I got mission complete. The easiest way to to raise your thug faction by killing townspeople

This happened to my brother every time he tried it, He gave up. I did it on my first try last night. get off your bike when you are pretty far away from him, and simply walk up to him. Also i had a weapon equipped, you might try it with no weapon equipped. just dont drive right up to him or he will get spooked. hope this helps

That has happened to me a few times. What I've been told to do is run away while spamming /peace so he stops attacking, then walk back to him and stop about 40-60m away and type in /conv. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Stand 70 meters away, target the slicer and type /conv. Move in 1 to 2 meters and do again until it works.

you need to be within 24 meters now for /conv to work so this mission can be really frustrating if you've got -5000 thug faction like I did. basically try to sneak up on him while doing /conv. if he attacks you, run away in circles spamming peace and then try again.

just right a macro that repeat spams /converse and run it while creeping up on him. I did this mission long ago when you could /conv from 90 meters away so didn't have this problem personally. But 24 meters should be enough if you're sneaky about it.
