I've just reached Master medic and got novice doc and novice Combat medic but im running out of skill points.

So my question is if i give up my medic prodfessian will i still be able 2 do all the things that professian can do?

lets say a smuggler reaches master gives it up will he still be able 2 slice things like that?

no. to get and keep a skill you need all other skills under it. so for doctor you need to keep master medic all the time, you cant even drop it without dropping doctor 1st.
