Thread: Hero of Tattooine quests question

Okay, I visited the Hermit last night for the first time. I tried to find the Altruism moisture farmer, but no luck. Do I hafta re-visit the Hermit again before trying the quests again? Or can I just start looking?

Just start looking, Keep in mind it can be a very slow and painfull process as they can be very hard to find. But do not give up as they do spawn. There is a guide in this section that is very usefull and very well done.

Heh, same place I found the farmer after weeks of searching South of Mos Taike.

If you can, try to log on just after the server restart. They're easier to find. I had trouble with the farmer for days and then when I went after a server restart *boom* there he was

First of all, a few friends of mine have found that you DON"T need to see the Hermit in the Squill Cave to start the quests!

First of all, a few friends of mine have found that you DON"T need to see the Hermit in the Squill Cave to start the quests!
They've just walked up to a Bounty Hunter who has 6 smugglers around him, talked to him, pointed out the correct one, and gotten the Mark of Intelligence Badge AND Item.
One has also found the pirates, killed two, talked to one, babysat the hoods in the Ranch House basement, and gotten the Mark of Honor Badge AND Item.
But I bet you have to go to the Hermit in the Squill cave after earning all 4 to get the Hero of Tatooine Badge.

I can also vouch that this is the best method of finding the farmer, and it will save you hours of searching. I searched for the farmer one night for nearly 4 hours, then decided I would look in the morning right after server restart. 3 minutes was all it took to find him. However, someone else did find him before me on the same morning. But I remembered reading on the forums here that he sometimes likes to spawn in pairs so I just waited around and sure enough, he spawned again within a minute.

Yesterday, i saw the moisture farmer. I rode up to him and dismounted but warped all the way to Entha (a new record for me!); when i warped back to him someone was there with the farmer and i. I tried to initiate the convo real quick to get the cave WP, but a mynock decided to float on over and tickle me with his mouth ticklers. Then the farmer poofed and i cried.
