I was chatting with one of my friends about the need for extra space inhouses and this idea came to me. What if Architects or perhapsArtisans could craft a MagSeal Container, just like the ones we see in Fort Tusken and other 'dungeons'. You could place one of these MagSeal containers in a small house, two in a medium and three in a large, each one can hold 50 items completely seperate from what's in your home. They could be moved around just like furniture, even carried on your person if you need to move them.
Essentially, theseMagSeal containerswould add another50 extra storage spaces to your house, for each one you own. I picked MagSeal containers because they are small and wouldn't be an eye sore...
Anyone think this is a good idea, or even bad, please express your opinions
P.S. Forgive me if this is the wrong forum

It's not that storage is an eyesore...it doesn't matter where you put items, each of them take up space on the database no matter where they are, & SOE is too damn cheap to give players a reasonable amount of storage space on their database.

Their line of thinking is, if they're stingy on storage limits, people will create additional accounts for extra storage = more money for SOE. They're all about money, any time you need to divine why they are doing something that appears irrational or non-customer oriented, you can bet money is at the root of it.

In the meantime everyone and their mother is plomping down lots of extra small houses to use as storage space, even going so far as to do cross server lot trades to have lots and lots and lots of small houses for extra storage space, creating more lag. Having 10 small houses creates more lag than 1 Guildhall with the same ammount of storage. Plus it's alot less pleasing to the eye to have thousands of houses all over the place. When was the last time you could travel 500m on a starting planet without seeing a house?

Yep, funny how all us lowly players understand this when the multi-million dollar funded dev team can't.

Well, Haden Blackman's gone so far as to insinuate that players don't know what makes a good game, only developers do.
This arrogant attitude trickles down to the developers and community liaisons - I've heard much the same from TH and Q3PO before him.

There are many ways to get extra storage. You can add extra housing. You can store items in the deposit box in your bank. You can have up to 5 droids in your datapad. Most droids hold 10+ items, so that's at least 50 items stored across 5 droids.
Just an FYI.

There are also the input hoppers in a factory (and the output hopper for the finished goods), input hoppers for crafting stations, etc.
A crafter that has so many items that he needs to actually put storage items up for sale for 99999999 credits is probably producing too much. The stockroom of a vendor holds items for 30 days, if you're producing so much you can't sell most ofit in a month, you're likely overproducing.
It's gotten better than it used to be - back in the day when we could only make 100 items from a schematic, when we had to take items out of the crates to put them in the input hopper, etc. etc.
