What exactly is a credit dupe?
i know, it's a pretty noob question, but up until yesterday, i've never heard of this term.

It is where people duplicate credits.
example make 1 million into 2 then 2 into 4, 4 into 8 etc.....

Not that i'm going to try it out, since i don't want my account banned or whatever, but how in the world could someone do that? would they have to hack into SOE's systems and change their credit totals?

you cannot dupe credits, it was an exploit and it was fixed, move along

thanks for the info. that's what i figured it was, that someone found some bug or something, exploited it, and now everyone needs to be careful about large credit transactions, so that we stay away from the dirty money.

I have one question, how can I tell if I get paid in duped credits? I have some things on the bazzar and I don't want to get banned. Should I stop selling things and for how long?

if we're talking about the bazaar, you shouldnt worry 
when the devs are talking about large sums of money the defenitly mean 500k plus.
you cant easily recognize those people, thats the problem... although we had this on eclipse trade forums: someone starts doing alot of buyouts, and a seller notices his name. he doesa search for post, and it seems that that person has done for over 50mil buyouts in one day.... hard to avoid ingame though.

I sell alot off my vendor, and this concerns me

if SWG started to ban people for selling things to people who use duplicated credits.... for whom these people shouldn't even have the credits if there telling the truth and are tracking all credits. However, if someone slipped through and gave you the duped credits... I would be livid if they didn't give me the credits and I would cancel all my SOE accts (which is alot) if they banned even 1 of my carcs or accts.
