Well I cancelled my account and it expires on Sept 9 2004 as is in my signature. I can't say that I really had a bad time with SWG just started to get bored and I have other more personal reasons as well.

There is no real content in this game and everyone knows it. Leveling is simplistic with the exception of jedi. The forums are a non-stop flame fest crying nerf everything in the game and instead of just make subtle changes the devs go way overboard. The GCW is broke and so is alot of other stuff. Some specials don't work right for some profs. Some profs have waited for more than a year to get any kind of attention and were ignored in favor of a class that DID NOT exist at launch i.e. the Jedi. The hologrind broke down the social aspect of the game and from what I gather the quest grind won't help much either. The simplicity of mastering and dropping profs allowing for extreme FOTM playing is ridiculous. You can have no skill in any of the FOTM prof and within 2 weeks can be exactly the FOTM, that is a game breaker. The devs have no idea what is going on sometimes and when they are giving good feedback from the community it is ignored, especially on these forums, and thusly becomes a flame-fest. Players with the right template can solo ANYTHING in the game, which is also a breaker on the social factor. Roleplaying does not exist in this MMORPG, that is bad.

Their are some good things though. The player economy while broken, has alot of potential that will probably never be realized. The noob droids help new players out tremendously and is a very good concept. Combat while horribly broken is a good base system it just desperatly needs a revamp. JTLS looks cool and hopefully will add a new and good aspect to the game. The new 5 minute time limit on the Starports is pretty good. The loot kits are ok but get boring quick.

That is it though, all I really have to say it right there. I am taking a break due to these things and my personal reasons and will probably be looking at a post-Christmas start in EQ2.
