Thread: NS main cave...
So it would seem that for some reason they decided not to up the spawn rate inside the cave.

What the people above meant to tell you:
There is no quest to get the NS energy lance schematic. There is one NPC named Axkva at the Nightsister stronghold POI who drops the schematic as loot. She is in the cave opposite of the main entrance to the Nightsister strong hold POI. She does not drop the NS lance schematic every time. She only spawns ONCE every server reset. If you get the schematic take it to a master weaponsmith and he can craft a NS energy lance for you.

I really think the devs should change this because every other profession can easily get thier rare weapon and in most cases they don't need extra rare parts to make them....well, TKM's Heat VK is hard to get too because you need to kill Axkva for the motors as well.....I have no idea where to the the schematic for the new vk's...I'm not even sure they are in the game yet.
I do beleive the devs will change the way all the rare guns are acquired....they did state that they will be adding new weapons to the game and changing old ones with CU, so hopefully it won't be so hard to get the energy lance or VK's.
The TK heat damage VK schematics were dropping on Test Center in the DWB back in May when the dungeon was being developed. A few were even craftedon TCbut the schematics were removed and existing VKs were confiscated because they were considered too powerful and therefore unbalancing. It looked extremely cool, like a push-dagger. If you don't know what a push-dagger is, imagine a set of brass-knuckles with a knife-bladeprotruding from the middle knuckles, so that when you throw a straight punch, you're stabbing your opponent.

well, I would call 8 people out of thousands possible on a server that have the energy lance "Rare". that's like less than .1% of people having it....so that's what I call rare. Also, being that Axkva Min only spawns once per day and you need to get 2 separate drops from her to craft 1 lance....the energy lance has to be rare. Since game launch that means she's only spawned approxiamately 600 times or so. Considering you need 2 differen components from her, that means we've only had the opportunity to get a energy lance about 300 times......so if only 8 people have a lance in 300 kills, that's still less than .1% of people that have it. If that's not rare, then I don't know what is.
ShaftDW, I do recall the mess with the heat VK's and how unbalancing they were....but in my opinion all the devs needed to do was drop the damage on them...it was the ingredients needed in them that made them so UBER and overpowering. Obviously, the devs have since changed their mind with new VK's because they just posted some of the new weapons and I'm willing to bet that the new blaster fist (does energy damage) are the new VK's for TKM....maybe they are not exclusive to TKM but even if they aren't, TKM will do more damage with them than anyone else since it's an unarmed weapon. so in my mind, that's just a replacement for the Heat VK's....but like I said, they could have kept the heat VK's and just adjusted the damage on them just like they've done with all the other weapons to date. Who knows, the CU may still have the heat VKs.....no telling what the devs have planned until we see it in beta testing (which I am confident I'll get an invite...then I'll know for sure
