We are making changes to the in-game email system to improve its speed. Mail older than 6 months and longer than 4096 characters will be deleted from your mailbox soon.

The part I don't understand is "Mail older than 6 months and longer than 4096 characters will be deleted from your mailbox soon."

What is that supposed to mean ?

I get the mail older then 6 months will be deleted... but longer than 4096 characters will be deleted from your mailbox soon? hum.. ?

If the mail has more than 4096 characters (letters and spaces) it will be deleted. It just means if an email is over a certain length it will be deleted. If you use the /savemail or /mailsave (I forget which one it is) and your messages will all be saved in your SWG game folder on your hard drive so you won't lose them.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

Ummmmmm.....I think it's quite obvious what it means. But are you asking for clarification on that statement? Or the reason they are doing it? If clarification, then any mail over 4096 characters is going poof basically. If why, thenpresumably they mean to attempt to streamline the mail system by deleting old mails and excessively long mails, to free up database space or something.

A character = A or B or C or 1or & or (

For example:

This is a test message. = 22 Characters including spaces and period.

So any mail older than 6 months that is ultra long will be purged from the system soon I guess.

Thanks guys... lol... I know what a character is in the sense of words/numbers whatever. Just the way it is worded through me off. Never occured to me that they were talking about that.
