Thread: Help with geo lab, my template or tactics?

Of all the places to hunt for loot, i like the geo labs the best. Heres my problem though.

If this is in the wrong forum, please let me know and ill post appropriately.


Im not sure if its my template or bad tactics or just bad luck, but those stupid enhanced kwis get me every time.

My template and items currently have my ranged and melee defense at 125 and ranged mitigation 3, but no melee mitigation.

Is that the problem? Should i pick upmelee mitigation somewhere? Even with synthsteak, they chew me up and spit me out at the nearest cloner.


Im thinkingi need to get teras kasi conditioning 3 so i get meleemitigation 2 if i need it and im thinking i do, but i have to drop something. Would it be wise to drop medic and not be able to heal at all?

My template is this:

- master rifleman, dropping this will never be an option until i become jedi one day. i love rifles, currently speed capped!

- 3000 medic

- master marksman

- 4000 commando, i only got this becuase i got some grenadeson the way for some force xp grind, so dropping this right now is not an option for the next 9 weeks.

- 4004 teras kasi, love the defense and meditation is a very handy ability to have.


If i sacrifice medic i will have to rely on supreme defense and damage resist and smart usage of choice foods. But i can gain tk 0300 and have 40% melee damage reduction right there, and i can also invest a few points into smuggler and pick up feighn death as alast resort in case i get swarmed and hopeless, plus that might save me a few migraines when i become a weak, weak jedi and a bh comes wandering by.


OR, if there is a better way to kill those enhanced kwis can someone tell me. i always find them in packs, conceal shot would take forever and get boring, if it would work.

mydxr-6b rifle doesmore damage to them then my t-21 it seems,and 1on1 i think i can take them, but more then 1 and im done. those klicknils arent as bad havent died from them yet, spiders not worried. everything else i can handle, and i havent been to the acklay yet and dont really want to as i dont think i can take it down.


anyways, can someone give me some advice. is no healing bad? ive heard people have templates without medic and still can handle pve extremely well. theres gotta be a way i can do it.

Both. Rifleman is very hard to keep alive in close melee with tough monsters w/o 90% armor and /or doc heals..

If I was you I would deffinatly get some TKM, now, the Melee mitigation will be nice (BUT!) it's the Unarmed toughness that really saves you. But you'll want to be able to actually do some damage to the buggers! So this is what I say. Drop 2 boxes in Commando because the speed/accuracy mod's don't even work, drop 2 boxes in Medic. Put what you can into TKA conditioning, then put as you would like into any of the other boxes for TKM. You will then be a tank with a very angry GUN! My experience with the Kwi's is I land a big Ole' DoT on them then go TKM on em, another tip. Take out the Droidika, go towards the Door, (because the Respawn for the Kwi's can happenpretty quick and when the Droidika respawn's it'll attack the Kwi's to) and there you go. You've made it past the Kwi's and the Droidika helped and served as your own personal meat...or in this case Metal shield. Have fun.........and don't do drugs.

Drop all, sell your guns for (85% base comp pref with a special that's not kin, energy or blast and a 600+ ph) pick up swords and keep 3000 medic. That's all you need. You will cut through Kwis, Klicknicks and alert droidekas like a hot knife through butter.

I was master rifleman for awhile and could handle up to three kwi's at once. You need to drop the three boxes in medic and pick up the xx3x or xx4x in medic (the pharm tree) to use decent stims to keep you alive while using a decent t21 or dxr6 on them.


The next key thing to do is keep them intimidated so reduce the damage done while you are working away at them. Also, mind buffs would be nice, but at a minimum make sure you have taken a couple of brandies and ahrisa.


Finally, you should have a good set of comp armor (hopefully sliced) but at least something with decent bases 70-90% - the higher the better.


I hope this helps. Also as an FYI...Much of the benefits of TKA are not recognized until your rifle is unequiped and/or a VK is equiped. Keep that in mind. A common tactic for Master Rifleman/TKM is to switch to TK when you need to heal mind and take less damage - then switch back to rifle to finish off the beast.
