I have been trying to find an answer for this but am still not really clear so I thought I would ask here .

I have a few + food experimentation CA's that I want to load up for my Chef. None of them have any other stats on them so I am not worried about that. My question is, if I put two or more of these on a clothing item is there any risk of them cancelling each other out?

Also, would they stack on something that already had food experimentation on it like a crafters apron?

Right now I am up to +11 with my Chef and would like to take him to +12 but I don't want to screw up any of these attachments, it has taken me too long to gather them up.

Thanks for any help in advance!

You will have to put each + of the same mod in a different piece of clothing; only the highest one will add a stat, though others will fill up your clothing sockets and are wasted.

Same goes with the crafting apron.

So DO NOT put a clothing attachment into clothing that already has that stat. You will lose the attachment.

Ok, just so I have this straight.

Right now I have (1) +4 and (3) +2 Food Experimentation CA's. As long as I put each one in a seperate piece of clothing I will get the full 10 points, is that correct?

Now why do clothes and armor have more than 1 socket if only the highest item in there will stick?

Yes, you will have to put them all in different pieces of clothing, and you will get all of the points.

You CAN put different mods into clothing and have them stick (for instance.. you could put both food experimentation and food assembly into a shirt) so this is the reason for multiple sockets.

Ok I am all straight on the first part. Thanks for the help on that.

Now I am confused on the second part. Can I put ANY other mod in another socket and it will still stick? Like if I put a +2 food experiment, +2 clothing experiment and a +10 bleed defense they would all be ok?

If that is correct why do I keep reading about higher numbered things cancelling the others out. Is that only on combined tapes like if the food experimentation and bleed defense were on the same tape?

Is there a good guide for these anywhere?

And thanks again for taking the time to answer these :-)

Yes.

If you have two CA's.

1. +10 Rescue / +9 Armor Exp.
2. +11 Rescue

Stick the last one in a shirt to stick the rescue, and then the other one so the rescue wont stick because there is a higher rescue there from the other CA, hence +9 armor exp will stick.

(Now that might have been a messy explanation, but i hope it helped )

Yes you can put as many differentattachments into an item of clothing as there are sockets, and they will all stick (as long as they are all different mods) - so if you had a 4 socket shirt and put in a +5 Food Ass CA, +4 FoodExp CA, +10 Range Defence CA, +3 Weapon Exp CA they would all stick.

What you may have read about is when an attachment has more than 1 mod on it - in which case only the highest will stick when it is used in a socket(or if there are 2 mods of the same value, I believe the top one listed will stick). So if you had a CA with +5 Food Exp and +3 Food Ass and put it into an item of clothing - you would lose +3 Food Ass and keep the +5 Food Exp.

There are some guides around, I dont have any links though.

Hope that clears it up.

keep in mind though, if you manage to get +10 into all the clothes you can wear and have the ability to wear 1 more clothes, don't put anything in that one more clothes unless you have a +10 or higher..

for every +10 mod you get, your experimentation will increase by 1 point.. so putting a +9 or lower in that one more article of clothing would be a complete waste.. see what I mean?
