Thread: JTL help please

I just got JTL,
Yikes this is brutal. I get in my yacht and hyperdrive to the place i want to go but when i get there i am anywhere from 6000-16000 m away from the nearest space station and they wont let me land becuase im too far away and of course driving is so slow. AT my rate itll take 15 minutes to get to teh space station.
I thought JTL was a quicker to transport from planet to planet rather then going through starports normally.
Am i doing something wrong? is there a way to go faster, it seems very slow and manual i think does a crappy job explaining how to fly.

For faster travel use the travel button on the space terminal instead of launch.
You can instantly go to any starport without waiting.

If you just want to get somewhere, without having to actually enter space, use the Travel feature. It's fast and easy, and you can get to any starport from any other starport. If you want to enjoy the ride, then enter space, but if you're only looking to get somewhere fast, use Travel.

You need to look at the info when you choose your jump coords. It tells you what your distance is from the station. Sometimes it will take you 5 min to get to a station (Tatoonie for instance) because there is no closer jump point.
The yacht doesn't have the best speed but it gets you where you need to go. If you want something faster you need to become a pilot.

thanks for the help, its all clear now. finally no more shuttle time.
