Thread: Auction Macro!
thanks
If you are talking about a SPAMMING macro, it isn't necessary. First spamming is annoying and shouldn't be done. Be creative with your marketing instead of contributing to the horrid lag problem.
I know the Dev's probably created the auction channel to try and clear the afk spammers up, and it has worked at little (very little). But the channel needs sub channels so it would function like the bazar.
Sorry, I should have posted that second paragraph in a new thread
. Anyway to answer your question, I don't have a macro but think of it this way. If you post one message it will stay on the channel untill it scrolls off (x number of messages). On slow days I have seen the same message visible for hours (I know it was the same message because I posted it. Fast days are fast usually because there a handfull of people spamming the channel) The more messages you post the sooner they are deleted, which defeats your purpose of advertising in the first place. This is especially true if dozens of people are spamming the channel. Besides, I tried spam advertising and found it to be a HUGE waste of time due to the fact that lots of people add spammers to their ignore list.
So my advise is create a note using the /note command. Copy and paste it into the auction channel. Then INSTEAD of spamming, check occasionally to see that your message is still there. When it finally scrolls off re-paste it. This will cut down the spamming (a lot) and free up your time for using your character to actually have fun in between posts. You can even use the game timer to remind you to check.
Anyway, I hope you have more fun playing and less boring old spamming. Have a great day!![]()
