Its for squad leaders. Volley fire isn't useful now because it only effects the default attacks. When the combat pass gets put in, people will use less special attacks and squadleaders will be much, much more useful.

According to all testing done the "Steady Aim Bonus" and "Volley Fire Bonus", both in the skillboxes or as CA/AA, do nothing at all.

Sad but true, another small detail on a long list.

We get a +10.....the tapes aren't hard to find......What do they do?

Will I see a difference in anything by having +33?

Hmm, nope. Volley fire makes all attacks of the team do 15% more damage, no random or anything there.
The only thing where the bonus could put an influence is the cooldown timer, but that one also sees no (noticeable) modification.
(If there is any, it's so small or bugged that it can't be seen without looking into the code of the game... but more likely, there is nothing at all...)

For steadyaim, the increase in damage on the one modified shot also seems consistent, no random there. About a chance to stick i know nothing, either people get it (then all the time you trigger it) or they don't get it, but then it's either due to range, faction declaration issues or the reported bug which we suspect that it's connected to the entertaienrs range bug...

What I really wish is that it also highlighted your target, or some other ability would do that. One of the biggest things about bieng a group lead (SL's job of course) is directing fire when necessary.

Vollyfire does highlight your target with a red crosshair around the target (also called "red ball" from us) but it is only visible if you have your particle effects set to close to maximum.

Regarding wishing, I wish it was cueueable and with a number attached to it so my squad would know in what order to shoot what target but ah well, I can wish a lot. Askng the DEVs something is like asking something from Santa clause, they both dont exist.....

I know that red crosshair appears, but seeing that faint indication in the middle of all the other effects happening is difficult unless you are already looking right at the target. This would be something that draws their attention from elsewhere to look at that target.

I had to group with my room mate, volleyfire a target and run to his room to see that effect right after the CU.
Im already more watching a powerpoint presentation than a fluid game, especially while PvP, but yes a somewhat more noticeable effecet would be good.

Oh, while we are at it, slightly increase passive defenses (maybe+100 for MSL just throwing a random numer)? Or a meaningfull steadyaim? What about a short action reg boost for forumup and a short mindbuff for boostmorale? Maybe working CA and AA ? I bought around +20 Volleyfire and steady aim PRE CU since I hoped they would do something ...

Ah well...
Asking never hurts ....
/sigh
