I have not seen a post similar to this one on the board, so if it is a repeat of someone else's post, my apologies. I would like the devs to make theme park missions and other missions in general able to be taking by a group, Nothing is more frustrating than travelling somewhere with a friend, accepting the same mission and travelling to two different waypoints. Missions from the terminals autosplit loot. Why can't the theme park do the same? In the case of rare items, give it to the group leader. It will be up to them to divide it in a fair manner. We all know the rewards from every mission due to the number of posts on the boards. Would add a nice touch to the story.

We've been gone awhile, but a friend of mine and I recently came back to SWG and picked up JTL, but we're having trouble with missions, for example we both have the same mission, say disable the enemy freighter etc. However when we launch, two separate targets appear, one for each of us, so my question is whether or not there is a way for both of us to do the missions each going after the same objectives, and if so how do we do it, and whether or not we both have to have the same skills or something?

No, you cant group up and get credit for doing the same mission together. In fact, to avoid confusion, I'd advise you go one at a time, and help each other that way, doing it twice. Otherwise you may end up disabling each others freighters or targets etc, as theres no real way to tell which targets spawned for whom

So I'm trying to help some buddies get into Etyy Hunting grounds on Kashyyk so they could help me with some quests. Thought it would be fun to do the space part of the access quest together in my ARC. It was not.
First, we get two seperate waypoints, neither of which I can see. They guide me by directions to the wp, "go left...up a but," etc.
Then we get 2 frieghter spawns, right next to each other, which we had to dock with. Each of my passengers had to type /dock on both frieghters to figure out which was his. Neither would respond after repeated dockings. After fooling around with them for 20 minutes or so, I just gunned em down in anger and we hypered.
I thought SOE wanted to encourage grouping for missions. I thought the idea behind the multi-passenger ships was for groups to do missions in space. So why do they make it so difficult, or impossible, to do missions together in space?

The only aspect of a mission that cannot be done from the passenger seat of a two seater, is a docking. The code is written such that a "cargo" is transferred to the pilot of the ship, and in the case of this sort of mission, that cargo is a flag for the continuation of the mission, and the passengers dont get it, so the mission doesnt continue. Most any other type of mission will work fine. I think even the dock to repair will work, but docking to pickup or dropoff doesn't.
Also, as for the waypoint thing, you should have just had one of them mail it to you as an attachment.

Yeah, the waypoint thing we got past, just by them typing it to me.
But the fact that there were 2 seperate frieghters for one group mission, and not being able to dock with either ship, makes the mission impossible to do as a group in a group vehicle.
If they're gonna give us group vehicles, and encourage us to group, they should make it so you can do missions as a group. You shouldn't have to do the mission 3 times in a row for 3 people, each one piloting his own multi-player ship. That's all I'm saying.
Also, requiring you to have at least a tier 3 in space combat in order to get into the Etyy Hunting Grounds is kinda lame.

It wasn't one group missions, 2 players each got the mission, thus it was 2 missions. I agree that I think the docking thing needs to be fixed, but the spawning for space isnt dynamic or challenging enough to scale upward for true grouped missions yet.
As for the requirement, you'll never get me to agree to that. Having JtL is required for playing RotW, and making some areas take reasonably tough Space missions to enter isn't in the least unreasonable. Note in my sig that I play a CL54 Entertainer/Carbineer, and while I find it very frustrating that I am locked out of most of the ground combat stuff in Kashyyyk since a lot of it was meant for 60+ I'm not complaining.
