Thread: 8 character limit

OK, so with one account you can have one character on 8 servers.
If you unlock your FS does that add a ninth character or do you have to have one of those 8 slots free?
I imagine it will allow you to have 8 server accounts and the FS character on the account you unlocked it on, but I have always wondered if there is a problem there.
Anyone know FOR SURE?
P.S.
I am one lunatic that really hopes they up the amount of servers you can have a character on to at least 10. I have too many personalities to be limited to only 8 characters

You have the 8, andof the 8 is the server you unlock your FS with. The FS goes on the same server as you unlocked with, so it would add 9, but 2 would be on the same server

You are limited to 8 characters so you can't get a ninth character (as far i know) so the best is to play only 7 characters on the differents server or 4 characters to unlock the FS slot for them all and have 4 Jedi on an account. 
And to answer the question, the FS slot is opened by a character on a specific server and the slot will be opened on the same server.

Note - you can only have once FS Character per account, so when you unlock one, that is it, you won't unlock one on each galaxy.

I can make as many gusses as the rest of you.
I know that the FS character is on the server that you unlocked it on... and yes, unless they have changed it, you can only have ONE FS character... you cannot unlock it on another server again. Though IMO I don't see why they should have that limit. If someone wants to do all that... let them.
Regardless, the big letters I typed towards the end of my post are, "(if you know) FOR SURE".
I don't mind guesses, but please try and include the fact that it IS merely a guess.
So, so far we have two different answers. 1) Yep, you can have 8 regular characters plus the FS character, and 2)Nope, only 8 characters, period. So, don't build an 8th one if you want a FS character.
Well, I'll chime in with a Third answer: 3) Hmmm... maybe you can and maybe you can't... dunno.
Anyone KNOW?
And I am curious, how many of you would like to be able to make more than 8 characters (One per server)?
In the Game Manual, it actually says you can make 10... which I think I would be happy with.

The answer is that you get 8 TOTAL. Many jedi have found this out the hard way when they recieved there "attuned with the force" message and yet couldn't create there jedi. Not until they deleted one of there other characters were they then allowed to create there FS character. Just FYI, especially to you cross-server traders/hologrinders. Hope that helps.....

And don't delete the one which opened the slot, or you lose the slot, too

I meant to post this on the Jedi forum so that I could get an answer straight from the source.
Well, I am most disappointed in this.
I really hope they add a few character slots. I have too many character ideas that I truly want to play... and I'm not interested in another account, thank you.
And I hope nobody ever deleted their FS unlocking character due to this issue... oh man, I can't even laugh (outwardly in public) at that one.

I think someone on Bria deleted their normal character right after they got their FSCS slot. There was much screaming shortly thereafter.

If I already have 8 normal characters on an account created will the FS character be created if I unlock?
No one really answered this one last time, but:
Can anyone tell me if you can unlock on multiple servers?
If so, does this have some 8 character limit too?

Well considering if you unlock, it's on an existing character. It's not done on a new one. When you finsish the padawan trials, you can then create another character on the same server as your Jedi however, if you already have 8 characters, you will have to delete one of your other's first.
And I do not believe you can Jedi on 2 servers.

Yes you can unlock on multiple servers.
And no - you can not have more then 8 chars total.
