Thread: Color in Sigs on Forums, etc? Please help.

Iv'e been reqally wonderin how do u get color and suff in your sig.

To clarify a bit more:
Type out what you want as your sig on a new post. When you have the wording right, used the bolding and italic and colors etc from that Letter A that shows on the editor and when you are happy with how it looks, hit that part where it says Edit as HTML. This is to the right of the Submit Post button. When you hit that the HTML code for what you typed will show up. Highlight it and copy it. At this point you can then goto your My Profile. Paste the copied HTML into the sig area and save the change. Its a real pain in the butt way to make a sig but it works.

You have to use HTML in order to put colors into your signature. The format is as follows: ::Text Here:: Where it says "color", you can replace that with any basic text color, such as "red", "green", "blue", etc. However for the more advanced colors you'll need to use hexidecimal code. Hexidecimal code is a simple RGB color scale, the first two numbers are red, the second two numbers are green, and the last two numbers are blue. Each set of numbers ranges from 0 (for none of that color), to F (for all of that color). There are other combinations as well such as well, but this is the simple method. So for example if you wanted red, the number would be FF0000. The first two numbers are FF, meaning full red, and the last 4 are all 0, meaning none of those colors. Blue would be 0000FF, green would be 00FF00, purple would be FF00FF (a mix of red and blue), and so on. So if you wanted red text in your signature, you would put: ::Text Here:: remember to delete the : in those examples

lol i was trying BB Code no wonder i couldn't change it thanks for letting me know that i could use html, is there a list of tags that i can't use?

hehe I am not in anyway a rememberer of html codes. What I posted up I saw from someone else suggesting to do that and it worked fine. I just don't get how to insert the little pics I see, like that one poster who has a pic of a bothan head in his sig.
