Does the npc quest reset guy at the outpost reset these quests too?

I did the Light padawan quest months ago, i recently went imp to pick up some more items/badges out of boredom and would like the padawan braid from the dark jedi quest.

the dark jedi wont talk to me coz i did the light quest. does the reset work on this one?

I dont just want to click it and see coz I dont know what other stuff it will affect.

can anyone help?
