I'm trying to add a few more professions in hope of getting credit under the new system. Currrently I have 11and will add brawler tonight or tomorrow. I obviously am not going to unlock, but I want to get as many as possible for Pub 10. My question is which of the following combat professions is the quickest to master:
1. Caribeener
2. Pistoleer
3. Swordsman
4. Fencer
5. Commando
Assume the prerequites skills are finished, but not the xp for novice. My goal is to finish one of these and end with Medic and Doctor. Thoughts?

Hi there i myself would say either swordsman or fencer as they are both very easy to master if you know how to master them.
I had Master swordsman as my 3rd holo and grinded thru half of it in a day then i dropped it cuz i was bored lol : ).

I would agree with the above poster. Swordsman or fencer would be faster.

If you have BH (im guessing you dont) then you can master carbineer and pistoleer in less than a day each. Otherwise I'd say fencer.

I don't have BH, unfortunately. Currently the professions I have mastered are:
CH
Rifleman
SL
Scout
Ranger
TKM
Pikeman
Artisan
Chef
Architecht
Marksman
(Brawler tonight)

Its in your best interest to STOP hologrinding at Once.. the "reward" for grinding is Crap, even for holo proffessions.... enless a major change happens on TC all us non jedi are screwed royally:::

Well I would start by agreeing with the first posters. do either swordsman or fencer. then commando to build your combat xp back up and then go to pistoleer and carbineer (keeping master marksman as you do)
I would be leary about doing this however if you are on your silent proffesion as it has been stated more than once by the devs (read through the HOC chats) that credit will be granted for mastering the professions that lead to unlock pre pub-10 which I interpret to mean that you can get credit for up to 4 professions (since you only need 5 to unlock and if you have already done that 5th silent one then you are already unlocked).

Ive done them all
I would definately do fencer and swordsman. I loved both of them. Get the spin attacks first. With swords brawler 4 you get spin attack 1
If you finish with that, then maybe pistol and carbine.
To do commando, you must be master marksman. Id save that for last

My opinion in order of quckness leveling.
Swordsman
Fencer
Pistoleer
Carbineer
Commando
If you do commando after pistols and carbine you will be more than halfway to master marksman.
Good Luck.

Following problem:
Actally it LOOKS, on TC, that you need to master about 4-5 professions to get OBE"Free Tree unlock".
So, with 11, will you unlock 3-4 more? Will this help ?
Id rather say, try to max the XP-stored cap with those skills you have, and get a Skill template, that gets you right
into questing shape, and also start grabbing all badges you can...

You guys are probably right andI understand the additional grinding may be for naught. I've been following everything on TC and the Jedi forums regarding the new system and your right as it is currently there isn't enough of a reward to justify the additional work of adding a few professions. However, for some reasonI think the Devs are going to end up doing the right thing and give proportional FS XP credit for the professions mastered. I know I will probably be dissappointed, but at most I'm out a couple of weeks of grinding. At the very least I will be able to by pass some of the time gates for the village phases.
To give you some background, I started doing the additional professions because I wanted to retemplate anyway and thought it would be a good way to pick of some of the qucik ones and one of my holo professions that I never did--Chef. I had previously only done 1 other holo--Ranger. Solast Sunday, I dropped the skils I was going to keep and then mastered Artisan, then Chef, then Architect, then marksman (I had 2 of the 4 trees already) and now Im working on Brawler (I also already had 2 of these trees).
In any event thanks for the advice guys.
