Checking who's online from your guild

By Ehenn Gek of Eclipse

do a /chatroom who guild..guildchat to see who's online on guild. even /alias it.

to get your guild id:

on the "join chat channel" window, select "SWG", "YourGalaxy", "Guild", then guildid is the number you see there. if you see more than one guild id's there, your guild id is the one that has a "Guildchat" chatroom in it.

Example:

/chatroom who guild.12345.guildchat

("12345" there is the supposed guildchat id here. replace it with your own guild's id)

Aliasing it:

/alias gwho /chatroom who guild.12345.guildchat"

then do a:

/gwho

and the results should come up like this:

Members of this channel:

SWG.Eclipse.bar

SWG.Eclipse.coolplayer

SWG.Eclipse.foo

SWG.Eclipse.leetplayer

SWG.Eclipse.player

SWG.Eclipse.system (this one always comes up)

SWG.Eclipse.you

Although I find it to be one of the handiest functions in game, many people do not know about /notepad.

Just type /notepad to open a text window, where you are free to type any notes to yourself, which save into a convenient file in the SWG directory automatically. It persists between sessions, but not between different computers, so make sure to back it up if you're switching!

Wow.. this is the first Tuesday Tip I've actually found useful.. Quite inpressive TH

Very nice Tip. It would be great if you could make it a little more user friendly in regards to a guild's list (online/offline) working beside the friend's list.

/note

When typing long emails to be sent out to your guild you can use /note and type in there. The /note function saves to your harddrive in real time so when teh server boots you and locks you out until you completely reboot the entire client you're info that had been typed in /note will still be there. All you need to do now is to set up the function to copy/paste and send it to the guild.

Next time, something more simple ? How to program a database ? How to debug the SWG client ?

Sorry, it's sucks, /gwho should be implmented in game since the very first day of SWG opening.

well, you set up the alias only once, then you can use it as long as you don't switch guilds. yes it may sound complicated, but that's a nice feature to have.

also, if we start what should be already implemented in the game and not, everybody could name a few features. how about enabling copy-paste functionality in the item properties window for starters.

Oh, here's a reall good tip for Jedi.

If you're aware by now there's a little problem with sabers not performing at their intended modified speed even when you are alternating attacks to benefit from the refresh timer. The problem appears that there's something happening when crossing a server boundry that prevent the crystals or pearls that are loaded to be recognized. The odd thing is it doesn't appear to be affecting the damage although it most deffinely affects the speed.

One work around is to unequip the saber, open the container and remove ALL the pearls and crystals then close it. Reopen the saber container and reload the saber. Once it's reloaded you should be able to equip the saber and have it attacking at the modified speed instead of the base modified speed as it would appear without the crystals/pearls.

*bug /exploit do not overload sabers !!

What's really intresting is that this appears to be an issue where the server is failing to recognize the items even though they are there. This being said it also appears that since the server is not always "seeing" the items in the saber there's a potential to place an additional crystal or pearl in saber container. Ok, this is not intended and it's not something that's easy to replicate. It is a bug and will be deemed as an exploit. If you are able to repeat this you MUST /bug it as soon as it happens.

On an end note, it's easy to use a workaround for when the sabers have an error and luckily the chance to place an extra one in the saber is not easily done.

/bug

If your launchpad download aborts for one reason or another, you can restart it without quitting launchpad and logging in again.

Click the "register expansion" button and then close the window that pops up.
Your download will restart.
