Thread: Can you do quest but not train?

I'm wondering if you can do the quest that gives the Aurilian Banner but not train for the quest?
I don't want Ranged Accuracy Survival at all but I'm waiting on phase 3 so I can do Ranged Defense (my last branch).
I don't want this to mess me up and take away my Ranged Defense branch as +20 ranged defense is too important to me to loose.

I don't really see why not. Sure you need 24 FS skills to go foward but nothing says you can't do more. Since there is no limit to how many branches you can have, I do not see why you could not do that quest. The only limit I know of is one Quest per phase but since there is no other quest for you in this phase, you should be all good to go.

All the quests do, as stated, unlocks the branches.
Then it is up to you if you want to spend any xp in it.
As like current jedis, they can do the quests and get the rewards.

I completed it and got the banner and have no want or need to train ranged accuracy. Its nice to know its unlocked just in case I want to take it up later. (yeah like that'll happen) I'm hoping that when the ones I want are offered, I'm able to do them both. I have a feeling that won't be the case. Chances are, 2 of the ones I want to unlock wil lbe offered in the same phase by 2 different NPC's.

Sooooo......am i misreading this? Do the Phases have an Auto tree unlock? meaning- you have no "say" in what tree you unlock, its predetermend for you? for example, i finished the patrol quests, got the banner and all, unlocked Ranged Accuracy. i was under the impression that if i were to go back to the same NPC to do more quests and finish it, i would get Ranged Speed, then Melee Accuracy and then finally Melee Speed? Its probably been asked alot but,can someone direct me to a post about this?

Whomever you are doing a quest for will tell you before you begin which branch they will unlock. 4 quest givers each grant a diffrent unlock per phase, totalling the 16 um total (lol) at the end.

I ment survival not ranged accuracy.
Anyway, thank you all for your help. Your post answered what I wanted to know.
