Thread: Corvette Solo Tips?

Hi -could someone give me some tips on soloing the corvette destroy mission? I've managed it once but that seemed like pure luck (getting killed about 50 times along the way but not running out of time). I read about people doing it in 10 min and would like to know some strategy tips...

I am a TKM/doc on one toon and TKM/Smug/pist on another...

My questions:

- I read the walk/not run trick doesn't work anymore. Is that true?

- Do you fight the mobs in the hallways (i.e. the main passageway)? or try to run past them?

- How do you make it through the SBD in the room where you set the fuel? (this was one of my worst sticking points)

Any other tips appreciated...

Trick is to get in there & never stop moving. Do NOT stop to attack. If you go upstairs first & only hit the first room to get the computer disk, then come back down to get the codes, you should be ok running through the rest without another aggro until you get up near the bridge.

There is an old bug that came back with the recent patch. You can get the SBDs to fight each other and the rebels, imps, corsecs. You dont have to do anything really, they just start killing each other. I had to kill a rear admiral for the knight trials and it was easy when I had a SBD tanking for me.

First don't kill anything, just keep running the whole time your up there.

Best way to avoid the SBDs is to get everything else to aggro you first. If your know where your going and what to do the rest is easy. If you get everyNPCon the top floor (where you get the operations disk), and everything on the second floor (the floor you start on) to aggro you then you don't even have to worry about the SBDs attacking you. This works for me everytime I go.

Just run through every hall/room on the first two floors and gain an aggro from everything up there. Once you get the Op. disk and restart the computer to get the code (get the armory code also if you want the loot there) there is no reason to go back to either the first or second floor. With an aggro from everything on those floors nothing else will attack you since only a few MOBs can be attacking you at any one time. The SBDs won't even move when you enter the rooms they're in. Also as a doc you should have absolutely no problem keeping yourself at near full health. Finally I would reccomend getting some Energy Layered Armor. I did this and it makes a huge difference when running the Vette. Hope this helps and good luck.

All advice here is great but dont forget one little trick you have Feign Death. I use it to get hte SBD's to drop aggroe while maintaining aggroe by the other mobs.

It is way simple to solo the vette.

1. take off weapon

2. walk the whole time. if they start to fight you run to elevator they dont follow you. then walk again. if you are low on health stand there till it comes back.

3. Have a PSG, vercup, pixie, brandy, moun, sythsteak, canape, and just watch how easy it is.

Well that is it, if you wish to listen to the other people that is fine, but i solo it from up to once a day to 3 times a day.

I have even done it for a group of people many times, while they wait in the start room and i finish it.

If you take your smug, I have heard that you can slice the computer to get the bridge code without going upstairs for the data disk. ( I have never tried it though )

Doc/Fencer + Good energy/electric armour + vercupti + synsteak + cob running.. Full steam right out of the gate, Destroy can be done in less than 5 minutes. Make sure the stims you have can hit over 3k.

With rescue, you cant converse while aggroed, So I take one person with me, and if they die/incap, I spam /drag and take them with me. Then when I get into the prisoner room, let them die or incap again if they are alive, and rez them so they can converse.

Masterswordsman+buffs+2brandy+some canape+CoB macro running+80 kin/energy comp and its no problem for me, last time i died when i froze for a few seconds.

I just run nonstop, and i only have Nov.Medic and can do them easily. It gets easier everytime you go up, as you learn the path. Now its just routine

The trick to soloing the corvette is to TAKE A GROUP!

That's what it's there for.

Either Solo or with a group remember your main objective. If Destroy then you must evade all troops. They will die after you complete your mission. If Rescue then you have to get to the prisoners, then fight your way out. Assassinate, haven't done this yet, can't find a group

I ended up Soloing the Destroy mission for Jabba and Rebels both in one night. I did the first one only because the ticket had been sitting in my bank for over a month, and I couldn't get anyone to go with me. After I soloed it, then my friends decided to go up with me. I did at least one run a day for 4 days, and 4 more this past weekend. Never got a powerplant though. And we completed the mission each time, except the Rebel Rescue, we couldn't get our third party member to come with, and we ended up having amnesia and forgot some of our DOTs for that last guard. My bad.

My way is much more unrefined than alot of the others.

run alot, dont fight anything, when I die I med off my wounds, and use pixy. takes me near an our, but I get it done.

Next time I am going to use some of the sugjestions in here, I think I'll have better luck then.
