Hey guys, dunno if this is the correct forum (excuse me if it isn't) but here I go
I have been getting a lot of hate from using Grenades to grind out XP to convert into FS xp...
I really do not find it enjoyable... throw some nades and let the groupies kill the enemy... its rather boring... (not to mention I feel like I'm 'using' people to get what I want... especially post-cu)
BUT: I've done some math...
BUT: I've done some math...
-------
On average... it takes 2 - 3 hours for me to max out Carbine XP (1.2 mil).
If you convert that to FS XP that gets you 40,000.
If you convert that to FS XP that gets you 40,000.
Also the combat xp you get is your max XP divided by 10 so, 120,000
If you convert that to FS XP that gets you another 40,000.
If you convert that to FS XP that gets you another 40,000.
So for maxing out one ranged profession you geta good 80,000 FS XP...
For 3 hours of play... which on most days is about all I can play... Playing maybe 12 hours per week... and about 6 hours on the weekend that gets me 480,000 FS XP Per week...
For 3 hours of play... which on most days is about all I can play... Playing maybe 12 hours per week... and about 6 hours on the weekend that gets me 480,000 FS XP Per week...
Four full trees= 4,900,000 FS XP divided by my 480,000 = ~10 weeks of grinding every chance i get to fill 4 trees... Abouttwo and a half months! Not TOO bad concidering its for Jedi!
***
Now I did some 'nade grinding today: about 3 hours I got 900,000 combat xp which divided by 3 = 300,000 FS XP
for the same 18 hour per week gets me about 1,800,000 FS XP PER WEEK! an extra 1.3 mil!
I could grind out 4 trees in about3 weeks! AMAZING!
------
Anyway, my point with this is... (and my question to all of you)... people say there is a better and more efficient (yes I've been told this!) way to grind out FS xp!
My question is:
WHAT?! What could possibly be quicker (or as quick) and more efficient!?
They directed me to ask on the forums... so I am! Anyone have any ideas?!
Thanks for reading!!

only other quickest thing is getting MBH, and capping pistols/carbs/rifles/combat then transferring.
However, combat xp is being nerfed soon. It will soon be a 30:1 trade in.

It is on TC, patch goes in today, combat xp now has a 30:1 conversion rate.
Unless it was a bug that is fixed...

On another note, you can wait a few days for Phase 4 of the Village and you will have all the Sith you can handle. No need for missions, they come to you! Grinding Phase 4 Sith is really enjoyable, somewhat safe and yields some interesting loot.
...combat XP nerf... /sigh

Those phase 4 sith is the way to go since you get tons of them and you don't have to make the long drive to trade in xp.

Nade throwing was an exploit that many people have used to fast track to padawn since pre-CU. Too bad they had to nerf everybody elses regular combat xp because of it.

It is not an exploit. Just poorly thought out by the devs. Suprised?

Mmm, not really an exploit as there was no bug involved. As said, just a poorly implemented system.
