Did a search on the topic and am looking for the same. Or at least how to change the alarm from sound 1 to another.

Thanks

/echo works to put a message in your chat tab. I was working on alarms that I can see around my character without having to look at the chat tab. I used to send tells to myself. That worked from the audio end - very short sound that alerted me to a macro getting ready to recycle. Wasn't the best visual. Also sucked when I received a tell and hit /r. By the time I sent the reply, it was to myself.

/AlarmAddIn works great (especially when you change the alarm text to a color that stands out well) but that default alarm sound 1 drives me nuts. Not game breaking by any means, but there has to be a way to change that while still using the alarm message.

one idea come to mind -"/client" it would give a flash of light up through your character and pretty too!

Actually, I depend on that alarm to be annoying! In fact, I stack them like 5 in a row at .5 seconds appart so the racket is utterly rediculous the closer it gets time for me to cycle my center of being. Yes its annoying, but I never forget to COB.

If the code is /alarm addin 0 0 (message) I wonder if a different sounding alarm might be /alarm1 or /alarm2.

If you look in the options screen, you will see that there are different sounds for alarms, so there must be a way to do this on the command line.

I couldn't find a way to assign a different sound, if you want to turn it off, turn down your UI sound in options.

Is there a way to change the default sound?

For example, a command line that would preface the /alarm addin 0 0 line. Something like;

/alarmsound 2

/alarm addin 0 0 (message)

Basically, we're looking for a line that sets the default sound for the alarm before we set the alarm. Think it exists?
