Thread: Need Help w/Emp's Retreat.

I'm doing the third mission for Loam, where I have to go out to the slicer, who happens to have thug faction which I have -5k of.
So I've tried killing him, because other players said they killed him and looted a disk that they completed the mission with. That didn't work.
I tried /conversationStart. That didn't do anything.
I tried submitting a ticket, but I got no help from the CSR's.
Anyone know how I can complete this mission? Thanks.
PS- Emperor's Retreat is bugged to hell. I've had so many damn problems with it, and I'm not even 25% through the theme park.

Approach the spot where he is.. but stay 60m away or so. When you get near him, target him and use /conv

I tried. Not working. Did they disable it or something?

2 ways to do this (I've done both for missions with thugs involved)
1. create a /converse macro, when he attacks, peace out on him and start walking away, spamming the converse macro; he will give up after a bit and answer you, you'll get the "return" response for the mission (used this one for your exact problem).
2. This one doesn't always work for me, for some reason, but it's simpler. Create the converse macro, after you have killed the npc, hit converse and you should receive the "return". Just be sure not to loot or examine him before hitting converse.
When I've tried the converse from 60m out I've never been able to get it to work; think something was changed in the last couple publishes.
