Thread: CU hates me
I'm not a Tailor, even though I probably should be, but I have two houses and a bank completely full of clothes. Armor was like a huge part of my outfits. You can get way more colors out of padded and ubese armors than Tailors can get in clothing. My outfits are always Very colorful. Most of the time I would wear bright colored padded boots or gloves, marauder leggings look Awesome on me, my favorite outfit requires padded shoulders, bracers and boots. Now I can't wear any of it!
I'm a dancer so don't tell me to go get novice in some combat profession. They should make it so you can Equip any armor you want, you just won't get any benefit from it unless you have the certifications.
That's the way it used to be with weapons. You could equip any weapon you wanted and just get the message, "you are not qualified to use this weapon and damage will be significantly reduced". That was fun and had absolutely no effect on anything. They need to stop changing things for no reason.
Another problem with the CU is it seems like it discourages mixed templates. Like I'm half dancer and half combat. That would give me like a 50ish combat level. So do I get half as much experience as a level 80 while training?
How is that fair?

I used to like wearing my RIS armor helmet around, not for the
protection, but for the looks.
I'm all in favour of some kind of tool that converts armor into
statless clothing just for cosmetic reasons ![]()
Totally agree with the original post !!
What ever is the reason for not letting ppl wear armor even just forthe looks !?
Can anyone come up with a good reason for this nonsense ?
Remove the benefits of wearing armor if not certed, but let ppl wear it for petes sake.
Just almost finished my full suit of Bounty Hunter Armor, when CU came along and i saw that
my char cant even wear it !! That was a kick in the nuts !! Youshouldnt treat veteran players that way
for no good reason.
Also, bought a RIS helmet for a friend as a gift, to find out that he changed template
and doesnt wear the armor type anymore... *sigh
I also liked the fact that you couldmix diffrent types of armor to get a personal look for your toon.
Now everyone wears the full suit, and we have identical looking ppl running around. Not fun.
I Like most of what the CU did for armor actually. Now you see people wearing all types of armor instead of just composite. But I really do think everyone will agree there is little reason not to be able to equip what we want.
