Thread: What does Rage of the Wookies offer?
It's a little tough to say what content is available to all players, and which require RotW.
You must have the expansion to get to Kasshyyk.
You get a varactyl mount (if you get the digital download) or a Barc speeder (if you buy the boxed version).
There was mention of increased ship slots with RotW, but I'm not sure if that's with the digital download, standalone expansion purchase, "Total Experience" (SWG + JTL + RotW combo pack), or all.
RotW gives you the ability to go "space mining" to gather resources from asteroids. You can sell these to stations, or to Shipwright players (who use them in new schematics gained even if they don't have RotW).
Reward items from most RotW quests are tradable, so I'm assuming that if you don't have the expansion you can still get those from other players. This probably includes the new ships. Some items require a "bio link" (which makes them no-trade), but AFAIK that's something you can chose to not do (although it can't be equipped/used if it isn't linked).

Yes, it "only" comes with kashyyyk, as well as the bonus items mentioned above. To be honest, all it needs to come with is kashyyyk, there is more quest content on that planet than the rest of SWG in it's entirety.
It's essentially one massive themepark, with several factions. Your actions actually have an effect; if you kill a wookiee in a certain quest, you can do a classy series of quests for another group and get the LD-1 rifle and a Sinew-Wrapped Knife, but that means you lose favour with the wookiee's village and cant do the remaining quests from them.
There are about three or four major areas, each around 1/5 to 1/4 the size of current SWG planets, and also several semi-instanced dungeon areas, each with their own quests and rewards. Many quests include both space and ground elements, and although it's a pain for me to grind up pilot, it's great fun.
All in all, the most fun Ive had in SWG since the early days after euro-launch, and a must-buy for anyone who enjoys PvE and questing.

I'd have to agree with this poster as it's a great add on. The world has many levels and depths to it... and involves space in some of the quests too, which is always fun, for me at least. Best add on so far, could do without some of the bugs, but overall having a great time with this expansion.

Pity half the quests are bugged. Incorrect options to conversations can leave you at a dead end, the graphics are all over the shop, and you run into a wide variety of bugs such as undestroyable ships.
What works is good. Pity most of it dosen't.
I have an entire house full of sweet new loot/decor that says this post is innacurate. ROTW is exactly what SWG needed post CU. All those people that said "I quit !!!!!"went to Kash and decided to stay. I love the new system. It has some bugs for sure, but overall I'm having a blast and feel that addicition that i had for the first yearafter launch coming back.
ROTWis what this game should havebeen at launch. Even a hardcore player cant finish it all in a month.

I agree with you on this one AluraLaxxana, Rage of the Wookies is a fantastic add-on. The new system encourages team work which as brought the game back in to the days when it first started. Once again the crys of hunting group forming tell for invite rings in the towns like Anchorhead. Kashyyyk as some many different things to do ideal for Guild / Group hunts.
