Thread: Skill Tape Questions

After reading the Skill Tape guide I'm a little confused.


In the game, as it currently is, can I:


  1. Add Medical Experimentation and Medical Assembly takes to a doctors apronto make it more than +5/+5?

  2. Add multiple +1 Medical Experimentation tapes to a single pair of boots with availablesocketsand have them stack?
    In other words, does a +1 tape and a +1 tape result in +2 boots?

  3. If they dont stack, can I put a +1 Medical Experimentation tape and a +1 Medical Assembly tape in the boots and have both tapes work?

The only reason I ask is that some of the comments I've read indicate that the Skill Tape guide doesnt reflect current in game results and I dont want to "waste" my +1 Medical Experimentation tapes that cost me 1 mil each.

4. So does that mean that +1 tapes are essentially useless unless you happen to have a total +9 or +19 somewhere else?

do not put the experimentation/assembly tapes into a crafter apron, similar skill tapes will not stack in a single piece of clothing( you will not get a +2 in those boots)

Hey guys,


I haven't been playing much lately but getting back into game. I'm a TKM master and have the following tapes in my bank


#1 Unarmed Accuracy 17

#2 Unarmed accuracy 8; def against posture change (up) -7

#3 Unarmed speed 8


are these any good or are these like unarmed damage where they only work if I dont wear knucklers?

These will work with your knuckles as well, dont put the two acc tapes in the same item of clothing you will lose the lower mod ,


Personally I find CA's central to improveing the TKM profession.

A few follow up quesitons ....



So with an extra 25 of accuracy that should help quite a bit shouldn't it?



Does it cap at 25?



The -7 against posture change up should not make any difference to me since I do my fighting standing anyway ... right?

The extra 25 accuracy will help alot


Yes, all clothing mods cap at 25, even if your clothing has more.


The posture change thing won't matter at all. I don't even think it works anymore. And the only time someone would've had Def. vs. Posture Change Up would've been a rifleman in prone. I seem to remember an attack called "Startle Shot" which would make you stand or kneel (if you were kneeling or prone). So.. long story short, that mod is worthless, don't even worry about it.

Being -7 means that it's worthless anyways. I don't know why things drop minus & no stat AA/CA's, I mean what's the point? Both types are completely useless. I have looted both kinds from the Jinga Cave POI on Endor.


It hasn't been determioned but I have an idea that it you place a single minus mod in your clothes or armor like say -7 unarmed damage, I think that you'll actually take away those points from your skill sheet. What kinda loot is that? I'd rather get a slave collar that I can't wear than a negative CA!
