Thread: nak'tra crystal rifle no loot??
As above poster said, it's in the great room just before Necrosis. If you pass through a zombie wookie, you're too far. /tar Nefarious should do the trick 
And you can usually stay here and wait for its repop if you're not in a hurry, as long as you stay close to it you won't be aggroed by anything else. Respawn must be on a 10 mins timer though, but never really checked by myself, just a guess.
Buried somewhere in the Items & Loot forum is a post that list ALL the weapons that can be looted from the Kohwirr forest. There are 23 weapons that are LOOT ONLY, and that number does not include the necrosis weapons. There are weapons such at The Void, The Silencer, Darstai's Sickle, and the Nak'tra Crystal rifle. To obtain the Nak'tra Crystal Rifle or Eventide Smasher (fencer weapon that looks like the Junti Mace), you have to LOOT it from Nefarious.
Nefarious is a lvl 78 (or 79?) Elite (white chevrons by name) creature in the middle of the lost wookiee cavern at the bottom of the Mydryyl Cave. He has a respawn rate of exactly 30 minutes. The odds of looting a Nak'tra rifle are approx 1:50, and the odds of looting an Eventide Smasher are approx 1:20.
How do I know this? I camped Nefarious for about 3 days off-and-on. I either left my character just standing where Nefarious spawned, doing homework or housework all the while, or switching to an alt and playing him for 25 minutes. It was incredibly boring. I managed to get 3 Eventide Smashers before I got my first Nak'tra Crystal Rifle. Throughout the whole period I was there, only one other player ever came through, and that was a Jedi heading for Necro and waiting for a group that never showed.
A word to the wise: Develop an AFK macro to attack and loot nefarious. I don't know if these are still possible, but if they are it would save you lots of bordom, you could probably even run it while you sleep. I wish I had thought of doing something like this BEFORE I looted all the rare weapons that only drop from one animal or NPC all over Kohwirr.
