grinding solo quickly now is nearly impossible thanks to the CU, best bet is to try and find a group of your level

Do you want to play the game, or grind up and finish your template? The CU has pretty much destroyed mid and low level playing of any type, but you might be able to find a low level group at Mos Eisley or something. However, your best bet for grinding is to go to Dantooine's Mining Outpost and join a grind group.

I would also suggest Mos Eisley. You might need to wait some more time to make a group, and group might not be full, but any extra player makes a difference, even lower then you.

Try also having multiple skills, like combat, medic, scout. They all count and will bring your level up faster.

You can also buy a pet. Non creature handler can handle a pet which is under level 11. Or a combat droid. So at your level he might do the same damage as you're doing, sokilling the mob faster.

At level 9, you're actually just as well off killing random spawns around Mos Eisley. Levels 1-4 are still going to give you 100-300 xp or so, and you can kill them very fast, it's much easier than getting missions. Once you hit above level 10, you can travel to a slightly more dangerous planet, such as Naboo or Talus and start hitting those near-city random spawns that are a few levels below you.

Killing things several levels below you is not an effective way to grind in a group, but solo the xp goes faster, because the way accuracy vs. defenses works causes you to hit for closer to your max damage, and the enemy closer to their min damage. Spend less time healing, kill faster, rake in more xp.

Once you hit around level 20, its not so hard to find a grind group willing to let you in.

You don't mention what server, or what profs you are doing.

What I did was get Novice brawler, and started by killing all low level stuff around MEisley until I had 1111. Then I concentrated on pikeman branch until I got brawler xxx4 (I think I was around lvl 9 at this point ?). I then went to Mos Lowlands on FarStar, a player city that everyone on FarStar seems to grind from. I spammed that I was low level, but had area attack, and was looking for an AOE group to run with for an hour.

It took about 30 mins, but eventually I got a group. While in the group I explained that I was so low level and I understood that I was not really any use to the group, but that I needed to level. They agreed to help me. When they got to the lair, I waited until they had begun their attack, and I used 1 (yes only 1!) Area attack. I then waited until a lot of new MoBs were spawning and I issued 1 more attack. I got MBrawler in that first hour in the group, and then progressed to Pikeman.

Remember the fact that you can use any weapon with any attack you are qualified for. So I did 1 lair for unarmed, 1 for 2handed , 1 for 1handed and 1 for pikeman, then started again. You cap extremely quickly in an AOE group.

So, I do understand your pain, just be patient, and make it clear that you are looking for an AOE group. With a good tank you will soon be up in the mid 30's with little more than a few hours grind. After that the xp just flows in. (in AOE)

Try to find a really really old Republic Blaster. At the beginning of the game, the Republic Blasters did not have any certification. Basically any level / any profession can use one (I have 4 and use 1 on my Weaponsmith who is a CL1). Try doing a vendor search or checking your galaxies forums to see who the old weaponsmiths are.I recently found my 4th one and bought it for 5000 credits b/c the owner thought the damage was way to low to be a viable weapon at 754 max damage, beats the Hell out of anything below CL54.

Your answer depends on if you enjoy playing the game, or if you just want to get high enough level to get in grinding groupsat Mining Outpost on Dantoinne . But with that said this is how I grinded up to Novice Doctor, and Novice Bio-Engineeer on the Corbantis Server.

AFK grind option

1) Go to a spot where there is a decent low level spawn.

2) Create a macro that will automatically target a creature and kill it. Below is an example.

Note: This macro can be used for an AFK grind. You just need to make sure you have novice medic.

Roleplaying option:

1) Find a bunch of other low levels and make up a story about you need help with some killing some creatures. If they help they'll be riches and spoils like they've never imagined.

2) Group with the7 players you've found, and have a great time!!!

Hint: Go to Mos Entha they have level 1-4 Worrts, Womp Rats, and Rills. They're easy to kill and at low level you get decent xp from these without dying.

Hope this helps
