In the Guide, it says you don't have to get the droid and you can just look into the locked room with the keypad and unlock the elevator from outside. I tried this but the Door was slammed shut, there wasn't an invisible barrier. Perhaps a recent patch fixed this?

I've done the destroy twice; once pre-patch and once post.

The first time, I did it fine, but I can't remember ifI was agroed..I think I was.

The second time, It would not let me in (I had agro) however my unagroed friend had no problem doing it.

So it seems post 9.3 you cannot see inside the door if you are in combat, but this is possible if you aren't.

On somebodies (excellent) guide here on Game Guides, it details two other ways of unlocking the elevator.

I just recomend taking another person to unlock the elevator and act as bait in the SBD room at the back of the corvette.

Or just run and do it on your own heh... two uses of steak and a good psg (with full comp armour ofc) will get you from start up into bridge level solo EASILY
