Hello,
can anyone tell me, please, why a big, fat bantha is as fast as a small, thin, agile kaadu?
What I want to say is, do you really think the speed of the mounts is correct? I don't think so. No I don't say I want the mounts as fast as a swoop, but I wish the speedrate would be increased a bit, and be different between some mounts.
I think a kaadu could be as fast as a speederbike in gallop mode!
And there's another point: Ever have seen a Great Sludge Panther hunting you, when it goes aggro and you flee via swoop? yes, they are almost as fast as the swoop, and that's what I like.
After you tamed a GSP and said "follow target" to a swoopdriver....**edit** dude? It's not a gsp anymore, it's a slug. They are a lot slower than in wild.
What the check is going on? Why has the speed being screwed like this? CH-Nerf? oh well, but I think they didn't only nerferd, they SCREWED the pets as well.
What about some statements of the dev's to this issue? I think that's an issue which need get a fix in "near future".

Well...I have to disagree with you.
I used to be a Master CH/BE. The cat variants would always keep up with me on a swoop. They still do. I only have a CL 10 Razor Cat now...But even that crappy thing keeps up with me, when I have it out..
But the other points I do agree with.
Not all animals should have the same rate of speed.

can'T agree with that.
My mounts are all the same. Every mount is as fast as the other. A humbaba/bantha as fast as a cupa/kaadu.

Well I dunno, I altime see my GSP lost after a few seconds his track to a swooprider (while I am following my GSP, to see!), 'cause it's slow...
Whatever I will try this out, but I am pretty sure about this...

Some should be faster than others, but also consider the larger ones have a much greater gait (or whatever the term is) and they cover larger distance in a single bound than say a cupa.

Hi sorry, I should have said "when galloping". Yes they do have the same non-galloping normal speed.

I believe the larger mounts /gallop longer than the smaller, 2 legged ones.

I never measured the speed but by the way my bantha's rear haunches are moving
I think he could churn butter in his butt.

this almost sounds like a bug to me..
my dewback is about twice as slow as my friends kaadu...

In Gallop mode, the Kaadu and Spats will go faster for a short period of time. The Banthaand Dewback and Humbabas all have different speeds in gallop but will gallop for a longer period of time.
It does appear that if traveling in a straight line for 15 minutes that all mounts will cover approx the same distance.
As far as cat pets not keeping up with you while on a swoop, this has to do with pets following while running at an angle. For some reason (bug) a lot of your pets will follow you walking awkward which causes them to be slower than normal. However, when they are running correctly, then cats will stay with you on a speederbike, will pass you in a landspeeder, but will trail behind when on a swoop.

Also take into account Terrain Navigation or whatever its called. When was the last time you were on flat land...even a small incline can dramatically reduce the speed of the mount.
There is a big difference between a monster and that same monster as a mount/pet.
Try this experiment. Go to tattoine and stand on top of a hill, looking down on a group of Cu'Pas. Shoot one, and see how fast it takes to get to you. It will be there very fast as the devs dont want people to "terrain kite" mobs....remember the baz nitchs and how SLOW they used to be.
Now get a Cu'Pa mount and climb that same hill...notice how much slower you are goin, even at gallop.

everything is slower than I would like to see I had a guy sprinting out run my cupa, which i didn't care for much (cu pa wasn't galloping, but still..).
Vehicels are a joke too. We have the pinto swoops appearantly. Anyone seen ep2, or ROTJ? Those bikes were alot faster than our pieces of crap.
