Depends on what the harassement was. If you're complaining about PvPers screaming "I pwned j00" at you when they kill you then you're barking up the wrong tree. The last thing the devs was is every little cry baby screaming harrassement at every little finger they get. Now if you are being sexually harassed then it's a different story, but name calling usually goes overlooked.

About all you can do is report it. I'd also suggest taking screen shots for supporting evidence just in case.


Depending on the type of harassment you can put the offender on /ignore which may help at least lessen the issue for you somewhat.

Screen shots will not be used by the CS team as evidence of anything (direct from the mouth of CSRs).


The way to report harrassment is:


1. after the harrassment has occurred, type /report <player name> (where <player name> is the name of the person doing the harrassing. /report sends the last 100 lines of chat (in the box where you filed the /report) to the customer service team).


2. Immediately after the report, open a CSR ticket in the holocron (it makes you do a knowledge base search first, but do it... this step is very important). Type your story of what happened in the ticket along with the player who is harrasing you and the fact that you submitted a /report.


That's it... even before you go out of game, you should do this (if you tell them out of game, there's no proof - in-game is the proper way to address it). The number one reason people's issues are unable to be remedied is that they don't follow proper procedure. The /report is the only evidence that the CSR team can use to verify your story. Screen shots are unreliable and will not be considered. I have extensive experience with the Bria CSR staff and they want to help. You need to help them by providing the proper tools.

Definitely submit a CSR ticket and use the /report feature as well..


Side note: the /bug "tickets" do not get responses from CSR 90% (or more) of the time.. they go to the bug tracking group to get submitted to developers that might be working on fixing frequently reported bugs. I have only once been contaced by someone about a bug and that was just to find out how the problem happened.

I think, it is a stupid feature anyways...


Let me explain, howi see this.


What is a harassment?

Lets group them.




Sexual harassment:

Are you kidding?

First. How can a digital avatar do anything sexual to another digital avatar?

Second. Are we in the Kindergarten or what?

Third. Sex is the most natural thing in the world. Everybody does or will do it. Killing people is not natural, but will be tolerated more, than anaked breast.


Your Problem:I go around in slips / entertainers have almost nothing on

My opinion: It is a game feature. If it is in game, it can't be a harrasment. If you feel harassed, you are a prude idiot and you have nothing to do in any game or even on the internet.


Your problem: I do sexual movements etc. (for example I doforaging and a friend stands behind me)

My opinion: It is funny. For the rest, see above.


Your problem: I use sexual words

My opinion: You hear it all days long on the street, in the scool, on TV, in songs, everywhere (especially in USA). It is sanctimonious to do in SWG, like everything is healthy and shiny and such things do not exist. And there is a Filter option. Use it!

SWG is rated "teen". I think 70% of the player are above 21. The rest is at least 14. You can't tell me, there is ONE 14 years old kid on the world, who never heard or used such a word. And be honest: You use those words too. Do not tell me, you feel harassed by them.





Harassment swearing:


Your problem: I use bad words / talk to you aggressive

My opinion: You sure did something, i was upset about. I could send a ticket about you too.

Nobody goes around and mess around with random people for fun. If yes, he is an idiot and you should laugh about him. If you feel harassed anyway, there is an "Ignore" option. Use it!




Harassment racism:


Your problem: I talk racialist / have a character name like Hitler etc.

My opinion: Like above.I aman idiot and can be ignored. If you lower yourself tomy niveau and start a discussion about it, you are exactly the same idiot. (you can reportme for having a name, not matching the SW universe. A few days ago I saw JimCarrey Petdetective on Chimaera. He isthe sameidiot for me,like a player called Hitler).




So, i can make the conclusion for myself, that if you have a problem with anything, it is only your fault.

We are here all mature people and the not so mature part should be protected by their parents, not by some CSRs.


There is always an option to protect yourself from "harrasments", but going to a CSR and whining makes you look like a crybaby or like a nazi.


Andlast, but notleast, i have never seen an example, that anybody got any admonishment (word? a warning) for beeing rude or such.

I was also reported once or twice for swearing,I know, and never got anything.


So, i do not think, it has any sense, because CSR and Sony does not care about such childish things. They laugh about you. They had to build in this feature, because stupid laws in amerika, but thats it.




It is another thing, if a player ruins your gaming experience by stealing your stuff or such. There has to be a way to get rid of this people, but to the other things I can only say: We are mature people, we should act, like mature people. I personally have more problems with politics and wars and what my kids have to see in the news at 6pm every day, than to be upset about af-u-c-k or s-h-i-t.

Well, thats your opioun there IgescaStorm. But I think /report is very much needed in a game like this and while I foul language doesnt bother me as such, this is a family game.

Would you want your 13 year old child to a set of /tells like this after deathblowing an overt?

It's nice that you can make an excuse to cover any bad behaviour you might engage in Igescastorm. You are very mature indeed.

This is exactly the same thing, i mentioned.


He was upset about you, because he plays the game maybe since two days and just does not know, what he does or just trying around. You stay behind him, you are a TKM or what else and kill him. He is upset. I can understand it.



I understand you too, do not come with "being overt means, you can get killed". Ok. If swears and you fell disturbbed about it, just hit the ignore button! You do not have to read his /tells!!!



And what is a "family game"?
If you let your child playa game and do not know, what he plays, your fault. If you can't sit next to him and play with him, do not blame the world, if he learns such words.
If you want to be the greatest family-guy ever, let him play an offline game with content, where he actually can learn something! There is enough software for kids.


Let us say, in SWG are all nice and lovely. Your child will learn the words in the scool or Kindergarten. Maybe you do not know, but he already smokes and has sexual experience. (I had such things already with 10 and i grew up in a normal family)


If you have no time for your child, do not blame the world.
You are exactrly the type, who will let his child sit at the PC / TV, does not care, what he does, because you mean, the community has to protect him, and when he blows the scool in the air, you go to the street and blame egoshooter-games, because they made your child crazy.

You do not know, for what i was reported. That does not mean, he was right. I reported him too.
