Well, the Corvette was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

Went up there for the first time in AGES with a full group of 10. 5 of the people in the group had never been up there. We completed the destroy mission with about 15 minutes remaining.

I see a lot of people saying how impossible it is. Well, it is not impossible, just pretty difficult. It is meant to be a challenge to push you to your limits.

Best bet to be a success is a mixed group of doctors, CM's, and melee tanks. Us CM's were spamming area heals, mind heals etc, and the tanks would take aggro while someone does a task on the ship.

It is all about teamwork up there. It can be done

well done

I am looking to go there myself but had no luck with groups lately and it all ended in tears.

Helios: We have no choice, General Thunderheart. Our servers can't repel lag of that magnitude.
TH: swgmod001 will have that thread down. We've got to give him more time.

Destroy mission is still soloable after publish unless you're really REALLY unlucky.

Assasination is do-able with two people

Havent tried other one since then as the tickets are a pain in the arse to get

I agree, much of the time, the corvette isn't nearly as bad as it sounds. But you can't get a good impression of the patch in one attempt. The new variable range of SBD spawns is immense. I've been up there when it's easily soloed or groupable, because only one or two SBDs appear outside of the engine room. I've also been up when there are dozens of them in every room. Last night, there were 20+ in each loot room. When this happens, there's nothing left to do except send kamikaze runners to the loot spawns, and head for the escape pods.

It's still doable in a group, but generally it requires several tickets in order to get a decent spawn.

Tmar,

"Destroy mission is still soloable after publish unless you're really REALLY unlucky."

Solable? Really?

I've read the waypoint guide and didn't see how it could be soloed. Any walkthroughs out there?

And can one have more than 1 ticket on them at a time? I'll be leading a group on the Neutral Destroy mission this Sunday (my first visit to the Corvette) and want as much info as possible!

And does the 'going solo' technique involve checking for the nice loot or is it just a dash to the finish to get the badge?

Both. You can throw switches and loot containers along the way.
